Article 224. Occupational safety committees (commissions)

On the initiative of the employer and (or) on the initiative of the employees or their authorized representative body, committees (commissions) for labour protection shall be established. The employers and representatives of the elected body of the primary trade union organization or other authorized representative body of employees (if such a representative body exists). The periodic regulation of the labour protection committee (commission) is approved by the federal executive body responsible for the formulation and implementation of public policies and regulations. The Labour Protection Committee (Commission) organizes joint actions between the employer and employees to ensure occupational safety and to prevent production. In addition, it organizes inspections of working conditions and safety in the workplace and informs employees of the results of these checks, and collects information on the results of these checks. The Labour Protection Committee (Commission) is an integral part of the employer ' s occupational safety management system, as well as of the labour protection system.
