Article 214. Vandalism

1. Vandalism, i.e. desecration of buildings or other facilities, destruction of property on public transport or in other public places, shall be punishable by a fine of up to 40,000 rubles or, the amount of the convicted person ' s salary or other income for a period of up to three months, or compulsory work for a period of up to three hundred and sixty hours, or corrective labour for a period of up to one year; 2. The same acts committed by a group of persons and also on the grounds of political, ideological, racial, national or religious hatred or enmity or on the grounds of to hatred or hostility against a social group — punishable by restriction of liberty for up to three years, or by forced labour for up to three years, or deprivation of liberty for the same period of time.
