Article 329: Means of enforcement
1. The performance of obligations may be secured by the debtor ' s non-resilient, lien, retention, sponsorship, independent guarantee, deposit, security payment by other means provided for by 2. The invalidity of an agreement to secure the performance of an obligation shall not result in the invalidity of the agreement from which the basic obligation arose. The extent of the agreement from which the underlying obligation arose is considered to be secured because of the consequences of such invalidity of the obligation to return property received in respect of the principal obligation. 4. The termination of a basic obligation shall result in the termination of the obligation which provides for it, unless otherwise provided by law or by treaty.
