Article 585. Disposal of property for rent

1. Property that is excluded from the rent may be transferred by the recipient of the rent to the owner of the rent payer for payment or free of charge. If the property is transferred for payment, the rules on sale (chapter 30) apply to the relationship between the parties to the transfer and payment, and if the property is transferred free of charge, the rules on the gift contract 32) insofar as the rules of this chapter do not conflict with the substance of the contract of rent.
