Article 878.

1. The cheque shall contain: (1) the name of the «check» included in the text of the document; (2) the instruction to the payer to pay a certain amount of money; (3) the name of the payer and the indication of the account with the container a payment must be made; (4) an indication of the currency of payment; (5) an indication of the date and place where the cheque was drawn up; (6) the signature of the person writing the cheque must be made by the teller. The cheque, which does not contain the place where it is made, shall be deemed to have been signed at the place where the chequer is located. 2 The percentage statement shall be considered unwritten. The form of the cheque and the procedure for filling it are determined by the law and the banking regulations established by it.
