Article 1402. State registration of a secret invention and issuance of a patent for it.

1. State registration of a secret invention in the State Register of Inventions of the Russian Federation and issuance of a patent for a secret invention are carried out by the federal authority. The competent authority for intellectual property or, if the decision to grant a patent for a secret invention is made by an authorized authority, by that authority. The competent authority that carried out the register shall notify the federal intellectual property authority. The existence of a secret invention and the patent issued on it is making changes related to the correction of obvious and technical errors, the patent for a secret invention and (or) the State registry of inventions. 2. Information on applications and patents for secret inventions, as well as on changes related to secret inventions in the State Register of Inventions of the Russian Federation Radios are not published and the transmission of information on such patents is carried out in accordance with the legislation on State secrecy.
