Article 1230: Duration of exclusive rights

1. The exclusive rights to the results of intellectual activities and to the means of individualization shall be valid for a period of time, except as provided for in this Code. 2. Duration of the exclusive right to the result of an intellectual activity or to a means of individualization, the manner in which the period is calculated, the grounds and the manner in which it is extended as well as the grounds and procedure for terminating the exclusive right before the expiry of the time limit, shall be established by this Code.
