Article 1524: Formal examination of an application for geographical designation

1. The formal examination of the request for a geographical indication shall verify the availability of the required application documents as well as their conformity with the requirements. An application is accepted or a decision is taken not to accept the application for review. The applicant is informed of the date of application established in accordance with article 1522, paragraph 5, of the present Code. Information relating to the application for geographical designation shall be made available to the public, including information on the application accepted and information, in the official bulletin.
