Article 196. General limitation period

1. The total period of limitation shall be three years from the date determined in accordance with articles 200 of the present Code. 2. The period of limitation may not exceed ten years from the date of the violation of the right to self-determination. The period for the protection of which is fixed, except in the cases established by Federal Act No. 35-FZ of 6 March 2006 on counter-terrorism and the Federal Act of 30 November 2010 327-FZ «On the Transfer to Religious Organizations of Religious Property in State or Municipal Property».
