Article 229. Reimbursing and remuneration of the found item

1. The person who has found and returned the property to the person entitled to receive it shall be entitled to receive it from that person and, in cases of transfer to municipal property, from the local authority itself. 2. The person found has the right to demand the payment of the necessary expenses for the storage, delivery or sale of the goods, as well as the costs of detecting the person authorized to receive the goods. From the person authorized to receive the goods, the reward for finding up to 20 per cent of the value of the property. It is not lawful for a person to be recompensed if he has not declared a finding or attempted to hide it.
