Article 286. Procedures for the seizure of land not used for a purpose or used in violation of the legislation of the Russian Federation

1. A body of public authority or local self-government authorized to decide on the seizure of land on the grounds provided for in articles 284 and 285 of the present Code; 2. If the owner of the property notifies in writing the owners of the plots in advance of the violation, the law shall specify the law of the land. 3. If the land owner disagrees with the decision, the property shall be sold to the public. The authority that ordered the removal of the site may submit a request for the sale of the site to the court.
