Article 371. Withdrawal and modification of an independent guarantee

1. An independent guarantee may not be withdrawn or modified by the guarantor unless it otherwise provides. 2. Where the terms of an independent guarantee permit its withdrawal or modification by the guarantor 3. If, under the terms of an independent guarantee, a withdrawal or such modification is made in the form in which the guarantee is issued, unless a different form is provided for by the guarantee. 4. A modification of the guarantor ' s obligation shall be deemed to have changed or terminated the guarantor ' s obligation upon the guarantor ' s receipt of the beneficiary ' s consent. Once an independent guarantee has been issued, the principal shall not be affected by the rights and obligations of the principal unless he has subsequently consented to the change.
