Article 961 — Notification of an insurance case by an insurers

1. The insured person under the property insurance contract, once he or she has become aware of the occurrence of the insurance case, must immediately notify the insured person or his or her front. If a contract provides for a time period and/or a method of notification, it must be made within a specified time and in a manner specified in the contract. 2. Failure to fulfil the obligation provided for in paragraph 1 of this article, gives the insured person the right to refuse to pay insurance compensation if it is not proved that the insured person has learned of the occurrence of the insurance case in a timely manner or that the insured person has no information about it. 3. The rules set out in paragraphs 1 and 2 of this article shall, as appropriate, apply to the personal insurance contract if the contract is in force. The insured person ' s death or injury to his or her health is a rah case, and the contract period of notification of the insured person may not be less than thirty days.
