Article 963: Consequences of the occurrence of an insurance accident by fault of the insured person, beneficiary or insured person

1. The insured person shall be exempt from the payment of the insurance compensation or the amount of the insurance if the insurance case arises out of the intention of the insured person, the beneficiary or the insured person, for the exclusion of the insured person. The law may provide for the exemption of the insured person from the payment of insurance under the property insurance contracts. 2. The insured person shall not be exempt from the payment of insurance compensation under the insurance policy of the citizens. 3. The insured person shall not be exempt from payment of an insurance sum which is under the contract in respect of damage to life or health if the injury is caused by the fault of the person responsible. The insurance is payable in the event of the death of the insured person if the death occurred as a result of a suicide and the insurance agreement was valid for at least two years.
