Article 997: Settlement of claims of the commissioner against amounts due to the Commissioner

The commissioner is entitled, under article 410 of this Code, to retain the amounts due to him under the contract of the commission out of all amounts received by him at the expense of the Comitant, but the creditors of the Comitant, The priority priority of satisfaction of their claims over bail holders is not excluded from the payment of these claims from the amounts retained by the commissioner.
