Article 1308: Lendering a right to use an object of related rights

1. Under a licence contract, one performing party, a phonogram manufacturer, broadcasting or cable broadcasting, a database manufacturer, a science, literature or and or other right holder (licensor) grants or undertakes to grant the other party (licensor) the right to use the relevant object of related rights in a contractually established contract 2. A licence contract granting a simple (non-exclusive) licence for the use of an object of related rights may be concluded in a simplified manner (open licence). The provisions on the granting of an open licence for the use of a work of science, literature or art apply to such a contract (art. 1286.1).
