Article 1338: The rights of the publisher

1. The public is entitled to: (1) the exclusive right of the publisher to a work published by him (art. 1339, para. 1); (2) the right to be named on copies of the work published by him or her; 2. When publishing a work, the publisher must comply with the conditions laid down in paragraph 3 (c) of the Convention. 3. The publisher shall, for the duration of the exclusive right of the publisher to produce the works, have the powers referred to in article 1266, second paragraph 1, of the present article. The same authority is exercised by a person who has been granted the exclusive right of the publisher to produce.
