Article 308.2: Optional obligation

The Optional Protocol recognizes the obligation to which the debtor is entitled to replace essential performance with other (optional) performance under the terms of the obligation. If the debtor exercises its right to substitute performance under the terms of the obligation, the creditor is obliged to accept performance under the obligation from the debtor.
