Article 1164: Common property of heirs

In inheritance by law, if the estate passes to two or more heirs, and in succession by will, if it is bequeathed to two or more heirs without an order of n. The inheritance of each of the property that is the subject of the inheritance shall, from the date of the opening of the inheritance to the common estate of the heirs, be the joint property of the heirs. The provisions of chapter 16 of the present Code of Common Property shall apply, subject to the rules of articles 1165 to 1170 of the present Code.c 1168-1170 of the present Code shall be applied for three years from the date of the discovery of the inheritance.
