Article 1057: Organization of public competition

1. A person who has publicly announced payment of a reward or other award (reward) for better performance or other results (public competition) shall be paid 2. A public competition should aim to achieve any public interest. 3. A public competition may be open when an invitation to participate is addressed to all interested parties by means of a declaration in the press or other media. The public competition may be conditional on the pre-selection of the person to take part in the competition, or may be closed when an invitation to take part in the competition is sent to a certain group of persons at the choice of the organizer of the competition. 4. The declaration of a public competition shall contain at least a declaration from the organizers of the competition. Words of purpose, criteria and procedures for measuring performance or other accomplishments, location, timing and presentation, size and form of award, and procedure and timing 5. To a public competition containing an obligation to enter into a contract with the winner, the rules of this chapter shall apply as long as: 447-449 of the present Code does not provide otherwise.
