Article 1072: Recovery of injury by the person who insured his liability

Legal person or citizen who has secured liability by voluntary or compulsory insurance in favour of the victim (art. 931, art. 935, para. 1) in the case of insurance compensation is not sufficient to make full reparation for the damage caused, and the difference between the insurance compensation and the actual amount of the damage is compensated.
