Article 573. Refusal of a gift by a gift

1. A gifted person shall be free to give up his gift at any time before giving it to him, in which case the contract of gift shall be terminated. If the gift contract is registered (art. 574, para. 3), the refusal to accept the gift is also subject to State registration. The penalty was in writing, and the giver is entitled to claim from the gifted compensation the real damage caused by the refusal to accept the gift.
