Article 646 Obligation of the lessee to pay maintenance costs of the vehicle

Unless otherwise provided for in the contract for the rental of the vehicle without crew, the lessee shall bear the cost of maintaining the rented vehicle, its insurance, including its own insurance, and the cost of the rental vehicle. The Panel recommends no award of compensation for loss of tangible property, as well as expenses incurred in connection with its operation.
