Article 821: Refusal to grant or obtain credit

1. A lender may refuse to extend to a borrower credit under the loan contract in whole or in part, provided that there are circumstances that clearly demonstrate that it has been granted 2. The lender is entitled to refuse to receive the credit in whole or in part by notifying the creditor before the contractual period of the loan. 3. In the event of a breach by the borrower of the loan contract ' s obligation to target the credit (Article 814) the creditor is also entitled to refuse further credit to the borrower under the contract.
