Article 880 Transfer of rights by cheque

1. Transfer of cheque rights shall be effected in the manner prescribed in article 146 of the present Code, in accordance with the rules laid down in this article. 2. The cheque shall not be transferred. 3. In the case of a payer’s cheque, the value of a receipt for payment is void, and the person holding the transfer cheque received for the Indos is invalid. A person is considered to be his or her rightful owner if he or she bases his or her right on a continuous series of endorsements.
