Article 8.5: Concealment or distortion of environmental information

1. Concealment, intentional distortion or late reporting of complete and reliable information on the state of the environment and natural resources, sources of pollution and nature of resources or other harmful effects on the environment and natural resources, on radiation conditions, on data obtained from industrial environmental controls or on information of a declaration on environmental impact, a declaration on environmental impact ate for adverse environmental impacts, a report on the implementation of an environmental protection plan or an eco-efficiency programme, as well as a distortion of information on of land, water and other environmental objects by persons obliged to report such information in accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation, except in the event Article 8.2, articles 8.5.2 and 8.5.3, article 8.50, paragraphs 3 and 4 of article 8.51 of the present Code imposes an administrative fine of between 1,000 and 3 citizens. Thousands of rubles; for officials, between 10,000 and 30,000 rubles; for legal persons, between 50,000 and 200,000 rubles. 2. Repeated commission of an administrative offence as provided for in article 1 — carries an administrative fine of between 3,000 and 5,000 rubles for citizens; for officials: between 30,000 and 50 tons One thousand rubles or disqualification for a period of one to three years; for legal persons, between 200,000 and 300 thousand rubles.
