Article 241. Buying from domestic animals when ill-treated

In cases where the owner of the pets treats them in clear contradiction with the rules established by law and with the standards of humane treatment of the animal in society, Animals may be taken from the owner by ransom by the person who brought the claim before the court; the price of the ransom shall be determined by agreement of the parties and, in the event of a dispute, by the court.
