Article 968. Mutual insurance

1. Citizens and legal entities may insurance their property and other property interests referred to in article 929, paragraph 2, of this Code, on a reciprocal basis, by uniting in each other ' s societies 2. Mutual insurance societies provide insurance for the property and other property interests of their members and are non-profit organizations. 3. The legal status of mutual insurance societies and the conditions for their operation shall be determined in accordance with this Code of Mutual Insurance. Mutual insurance of the property and property interests of its members shall be provided directly on the basis of membership, unless the statutes of society provide for the conclusion of contracts in such cases. The rules of this chapter apply to the insurance relationship between the mutual insurance society and its members, unless otherwise provided in the Mutual Fear Act. 4. The implementation of compulsory insurance through mutual insurance is permitted in the cases provided for by the law on mutual insurance.
