Article 1047: Responsibility of comrades for general obligations

1. If the contract of a simple partnership is not related to the performance of business by its participants, each comrade shall respond under general contractual obligations to all his or her property. 2. If the contract of a simple partnership is related to the exercise of its participation in a common undertaking arising out of a non-contract, the comrades shall respond jointly and severally. In the case of business owners, the comrades are jointly and severally liable for all general obligations, regardless of the grounds for their occurrence.
