Article 1058: Change of conditions and cancellation of public competition

1. A person who has declared a public competition may change its terms or cancel the competition only within the first half of the time limit set for the submission of works. 3. In the event of a change in the terms of the competition or cancellation of the competition, the applicant shall be required to reimburse the costs of the competition in the same manner as the tender was announced. Any person who has performed the job provided for in the announcement before he or she became aware of the change in the conditions of the competition and of its cancellation. c is exempted from reimbursement if it proves that the said work was not performed in connection with the competition, in particular prior to the announcement of the competition, or that it was not known that it had been done. 4. If the requirements set out in paragraphs 1 or 2 of this article have been violated when the conditions of the competition have been changed or cancelled, the person who has declared the competition shall pay the award to those who have not yet done so.
