Article 777. Responsibility of the perpetrator for breach of contract

1. The perpetrator shall be liable to the employer for breach of contracts for research, development and technology work, unless he proves what it is. 2. The perpetrator is under an obligation to make reparation for damages suffered by the employer within the limits of the value of the work in which the defects are identified (art. 401, para. 1). The Orm provides that they are compensable within the total value of the work under the contract; the loss of profits is compensable in the cases provided for by the contract.
